Blue Velvet tips, by Cannon, are intended as a budget tip for use by snooker and pool halls on house cues. However, having said that, I've read a review that suggested they were well worth a try as they have slightly different characteristics to Elkmaster and Blue Diamond tips. The suggestion is that these are easier to shape, easy to roughen, good at holding chalk and surprisingly responsive.
