#1 in the Tony Allcock Art of Bowls series, and presented by Tony. The production values are a bit amateurish, but there is plenty of interest here as he explains about types of bowl, grip and stance in particular. Wynne Richards also joins in to explain his very individual stanceSold out

#2 in the Tony Allcock Art of Bowls series, and presented by Tony. An unfortunate title, as only about 5 minutes is devoted to bowling the jack. The rest is about bowling, and it's fascinating. Tony teams up with the Crown Green master Brian Duncan and they spend some time discussing the differences between Crown and flat green bowling.Sold outAllcock then goes on to explore shot alternatives (drive, controlled weight, block, wick, yard on), when to use a particular shot and reasons not to, which as a skip I found very useful. He sets up heads to demonstrate each
#3 in the Tony Allcock Art of Bowls series, and presented by Tony. Tony this time teams up with a young player from his own club, Andrew Mills, and spends most of the video exploring line and length and what you can do to adjust. As you probably know, I play shortmat and this had me trying out new techniques (which worked well) as soon as I had a chance after viewing the video.Sold out.
#4 in the Tony Allcock Art of Bowls series, and presented by Tony. I really enjoyed this one. Presented with Margaret Johnson - who has won most things in the ladies game. How many of you knew that Margaret started as a shortmat bowler? I certainly didn't.The video starts by exploring shortmat versus other forms of bowls, and ladies bowls versus mens bowls. There are some interesting insights here which have helped me as the skip of a mixed fours. They go on to skip two teams of four (I hesitate to say 'rinks' because it means different things to different people) and explain the roles of each team member. They play some heads and explain why they select certain shots over the alternatives. Fascinating.Sold out.
Presented by David Bryant and David Rhys Jones, this is in two parts - outdoor and indoor. The outdoor portion gives interesting historical information (the indoor part has very little), plus there are scenes from many world and Commonwealth Games finals. Seeing the likes of Bryant, Wood, Corsie, Allcock, Schuback, Gourlay and Price in action, and watching their shot choices is rewarding in itself, for all bowlers.
