Used to strap a rolled short mat or carpet bowls carpet. This strap is 6ft long, made mainly of 50mm velcro loop material with a six inch length of velcro hook material stitched to one end. On the other end is a plastic loop. Throw the strap around the carpet, push the free end through the plastic loop, bend the strap back on itself and bingo! your carpet is securely strapped. Long enough for any carpet. A carpet needs at least two of these to secure it, but we'd recommend three for a six foot wide carpet (see next product), and six for a 4m carpet to avoid sagging.

Velcro is a 'touch and close' fastening made from two tapes with different surfaces. One is soft, covered with a nylon fuzz - called the 'loop'. The other side is firmer and covered with tiny nylon hooks - called the 'hook', these catch in the loop when pressed together.A 25m roll of self-adhesive loop Velcro. This is used in short mat or carpet bowls to attach to a central core. Then using hook type Vecro strips on the carpet, the carpet is attached to the core and rolled. Widely regarded as the best method of handling shortmat carpets and carpet bowl carpets.Supplied in black only. For three mats you would need about 11 metres of hook velcro and about 2 metres of self adhesive loop velcro. Over time the Velcro will pick up dust, fluff, bits of cotton and gradually lose its effectiveness, as all Velcro bonds tend to do.
