Most of our carpets are 6ft wide, but we also sell a 45ft x 9ft carpet - a format used a lot in Scotland and certain parts of Wales.
All bowls carpets are supplied fully marked for shortmat bowls (40ft and 45ft) or carpet bowls (30ft).
The carpet speeds quoted are guidelines only. The actual speed of the mat in use will depend on other factors, such as the floor itself and the temperature and humidity of the hall.
When comparing carpet prices, make sure that you are comparing like with like. You will often be quoted prices for carpets which do not include VAT, whereas all our prices do. Also, check out the delivery charge - all our prices include delivery.

As a guide, all carpets are suitable for social play, but anything faster than a medium speed carpet may well be too fast for casual play. For league standard play or higher (competitions etc) the best carpets are Wygreen original and VerdeMat. All the carpets are fairly durable as long as they are handled well. However, they do all need careful handling, careful rolling and thoughtful storage (eg somewhere reasonably secure where children in particular cannot get to them).
Carpet packages
We sell shortmat carpets on their own, or in a package. The package is intended for new clubs, or for existing clubs rolling down an extra mat, and is sold at a price that represents a considerable discount over the individual prices of the various items. Each carpet package consists of:
the carpet itself, 2 fenders, centre block, carpet cover / carrying bag, extra heavyweight yellow jack, 2 x black and white footmats, spare carpet marking tape, a Rooney line square, Supalock Gold 9ft measure, set of calipers, 2 sets of rubber wedges and a vertical scoreframe.
We reckon that this is a minimum set of equipment to operate one mat. If you want to buy anything else at the same time as a carpet package, contact us for a quotation for everything you need.
